Væb has won Söngvakeppnin 2025 and will represent Iceland in Basel, Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The final was held at the studios of broadcaster RVK in Reykjavík after two semifinals narrowing down 10 artists down to six.
Væb will sing “Róa” in the first semifinal of Eurovision on 13 May 2025. In second was Stebbi Jak with the song “Set Me Free” and Júlí and Dísa placed third with the song “Fire”. Væb won the jury vote.
The national final was presented by Benedikt Valsson, Fannar Sveinsson, and Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir. Herra Hnetusmjör opened the show with Hera Björk, Käärijä, and Hooja performing as interval acts.
