Eurovision in Concert 2025: the recap

Last Saturday, the fifteenth edition of Eurovision in Concert took place in a packed AFAS Live in Amsterdam. While we are still recovering from a weekend full of events, it’s time for a recap!

The concerts and parties

On Friday, the kick-off party Amsterdam Calling was held at the Melkweg in the city centre. The lineup included Eurovision alumni Michael von der Heide, Xandee, Destiny, and Alessandra, among others. The show was hosted by Mimicat.

On Saturday afternoon, the Eurovision in Concert warmup show was hosted in AFAS Live. This warmup show was held for the first time this year, to celebrate Eurovision in Concert’s fifteenth anniversary. During the press event and soundchecks, in a different area of the venue, Serhat, Luke Black, Imaani, Kaleen and host Krista Siegfrids entertained fans and gave the audience a taste of what would be waiting for them in the evening.

Since 2018, Eurovision in Concert is held in AFAS Live, one of the city’s main concert venues with a capacity of 6000 (a massive upgrade from the event’s former venue, the Melkweg with a capacity of 1500). At the 2025 edition, a record number of 30 Eurovision participants were present! In addition, defending champion Nemo performed at Eurovision in Concert and announced that they would also be taking the stage at Eurovision in Basel. The evening was hosted by Cornald Maas and Stefania, who also performed her Eurovision 2021 song “Last Dance”.

Eurovision in Concert will of course be back for 2026. Mark 11 April in your calendars, we hope to see you there!

The interviews

Would you rather perform overdressed or in pyjamas? Would you rather open or close Eurovision? In addition to asking various Eurovision 2025 participants about their song, their journey, their own Eurovision favourites, and their newest friendships, we also presented them with some challenging dilemmas. ESCXTRA reporters Elleke and Sabien had the pleasure of talking to France’s Louane, Australia’s Go-Jo, Denmark’s Sissal, the United Kingdom’s Remember Monday, and San Marino’s Gabry Ponte!
