Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026 on February 14

Feeling the love for Eurovision after breaking their recent NQ streak, the 56th edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will be held on Valentine’s Day, February 14 2026. The Danish national broadcaster DR has also confirmed changes to the annual national selection. This time, the final will move location away from Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. Instead, it will take place in the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn. More details and ticket information will be shared in September.

“The ambition with the Danish Melodi Grand Prix is to bring the Danes together through music, and in 69 years it is an event that arouses the commitment and feelings of many. I am pleased because it means that at a time when we see each of our lives more and more often, continue to have relevance and is something people from all areas of the country relate to. We look forward to bringing the Grand Prix party to Frederikshavn and not least creating a show that the Danes gather around in the living rooms.”
