Vienna 2015

Your guide for tonight!

It’s a quiet Friday night in the world of Eurovision. Just two shows are taking place and good news: You can watch them both! Ireland will select its entry for Vienna tonight, whereas our host country Austria will have the second show of their Eurovision process.
Ireland
What: The Late Late Show Eurosong Special
Start: 22.35 CET
Broadcast: RTÉ1
Ireland announced big changes to their selection after failing to qualify in Copenhagen. Expectations were high and in the end, all that changed was the loss of the mentors. Five acts were chosen from an open submission. These five will fight for the right to represent Ireland in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. The show will start at 22:35 CET and will last until 00:45 CET.
The line-up:

  1. Alex Saint – She’s So Fine
  2. Kat Mahon – Anybody Got A Shoulder
  3. Erika Selin – Break Me Up
  4. Nikki Kavanagh – Memories
  5. Molly Sterling – Playing With Numbers

Austria
What: Wer Singt für Österreich? – Show 2
Start: 20.15 CET
Broadcaster: ORF1
Austria has entered a complicated selection procedure to select the entry to fly the flag of the host nation. After eliminating ten out of sixteen acts last week, no one will leave tonight. Or next week.
Tonight, the six remaining acts will show what they can do with a cover song. They’ll try to convince the jury of their vocal skills and performance talent.
The line-up for tonight (with the original artist of each song in brackets):

  • DAWA – Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve)
  • Celina Ann – Empire State of Mind (Alicia Keys)
  • Folkshilfe – Medley of: Danza Kuduro (Don Omar ft. Lucenzo), Let’s Get Loud (Jennifer Lopez), Hangover (Taio Cruz ft. Flo Rida), Firework (Katy Perry), Sexy And I Know It (LMFAO) and Just The Way You Are (Bruno Mars)
  • Zoe – Something (The Beatles)
  • The Makemakes – I Shot The Sheriff (Bob Marley)
  • Johann Sebastian Bass – Stronger (Kanye West)

A nice evening for you! You can even have a break between the shows and miss nothing! Here’s a schedule which may come in handy for tonight!
