Eldrine back with “Addiction”

Eldrine, who represented Georgia in the Eurovision 2011 placing 9th in the Grand Final, have released their brand-new song “Addiction” with its official video presented at the beginning of March. The music video displays the past and current situation of our world by revealing the main conflicts and issues affecting our societies having made them wicked and mainstream thus creating addiction. It calls for action in order to save our future because we are human beings able to comprehend our actions. The group expresses their gratitude for the support in the creation of the video coming from “EYE Studio” as well as Givi Maghradze and Rick Mkhitarian.
As Eldrine mentioned to EscXtra: “Our songs are born in a rehearsal room during the jam. The music video for “Addiction” is dedicated to all the people who think about the future and join us in the opinion that we are the people and not a dark crowd”.

The members of the group are Sophio Toroshelidze (Lead Vocals), DJ BE$$( Turn tables, Sampling, Guitar, Backing Vocals), MIKEN (Guitar, backing vocals), MC BIBO (Bass).
ELDRINE was founded in 2010 by 2 friends MIKEN (Mikheil Chelidze) and Chango (David Changoshvili). After becoming good friends in 2010 they decided to form the Band together named Eldrine. They invited their friends multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Beso Tsikhelashvili (DJ BE$$) and Irakli Bibilashvili (BIBO) as a bass player. Their vision of the style was a modern Pop-Rock based on the parts of electronic music. There was a lot of discussions about the lead singer and the keyboard player and according to the style of the band they decided to put female singer and half time keyboard player, on the showcase they chose one of talented girls Tamar Vadachkoria with a good potential and also half time keyboard player Tamar Shekhiladze. Finally Eldrine was officially formed. They started to work on the demos, they made good singles and they were invited to participate in the Georgian alternative music festival “Altervision Newcomers 2010”. Eldrine became the best newcomer of the year with the single “Haunting”. The Band was progressing day by day, they finished their first demo album named “Fake Reality” in January 2011. It was during the year of their participation in Eurovision when the lead singer decided to leave the group after getting married. That was when Sophio Toroshelidze joined the group and flew the Georgian flag in Germany. Their participation in Eurovision was the biggest success for the group and a stepping stone for the band in such a short period of existence. After the Eurovision the band was invited as a guest star with the famous band “Blue” for the opening show of the international song contest in Georgia, named “Golden Talent 2011”. Also the band was invited by European MTV to play in Batumi on the “MTV World Stage” event with Enrique Iglesias and Eldrine performed 8 songs on the event.
