Ivan Peroti impresses on The Voice of Holland

The new season of The Voice of Holland has some good old Eurovision faces in it. A while ago, we reported about Jennie Lena and today, we bring you the story of Ivan Peroti.
Ivan Peroti was part of the Dutch national final for the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2012. His song Take Me As I Am was the clear jury favourite, but the televoters chose Joan Franka and her look as an Indian for Baku.  Last week, Peroti appeared on The Voice of Holland where he convinced all four coaches to turn for him with the Al Green classic Let’s Stay Together. Having the choice between Ali B (who gave him 10/10 in the national final), Anouk (who he did backing vocals for on her latest album), Marco Borsato and Sanne Hans, he surprised many by going for the latter, much to Sanne’s own surprise.
Tonight, Ivan had his battle in Team Sanne. This time his coach had a surprise for him as he was chosen to battle against 17 year old Agnes Diawara. They got the song Hold Back The River by James Bay and convinced the coaches. In the end, the other coaches agreed that Ivan was the better singer in the battle. Coach Sanne agreed and chose Ivan Peroti for the next round.
The other Eurovision link in the contestants, Jennie Lena, also had her battle tonight, beating Leonie Bos to it and progressing to the next round in Team Anouk.
