Stockholm 2016

3rd heat in Lithuania

Tonight Lithuania presents the 3rd selection of  artists hoping to represent the country in Stockholm this year. This one is interesting because these artists had no songs coming to the selection and picked the one they liked the best from the submitted pool. 12 songs are here so it will be a very long night (not as long as Maltese one though).

Ieva Zasimauskaitė – Life (Not That Beautiful).  This was very boring and she was very nervous.
Baiba – Mayday. Sounds like “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” ripoff.
Evelyn Joyce – When It Sings. Another ballad. More mature than the first one, but as boring. This gives me “C’est Ma Vie” vibes. That dress needs ironing.
E.G.O. – Long Way From Home. Boyband! This has some funny choreo hahaha. Some bad  vocals here and there, but teenage girls will vote for it.
Berta – Stars In A Rainbow. The first tune of the night that sounds kind of modern. This one will be enjoyed by the fans I’m sure. Sing girl!
Deividas Žygas – Survivors. Eric Saade’s jacket is back! Back to vocal coach, thanks!
Neringa Šiaudikytė – Never Knew Love. This is a well crafted ballad and Neringa looks good tonight. One of the better acts tonight.
4 Roses – Butterfly. One rose is apparently missing. This act needs resolving still. Harmonies are off, but it has potential.
Saulenė Chlevickaitė – Strong. Televote leader for the whole show so far. I quite like this, but she lacks energy.
Milda Martinkėnaitė – If Tomorrow Never Comes. This is slightly country, slightly schlager, basically Timoteij. Wardrobe malfunction (multiple actually) is happening right before our eyes.
Ruslanas Kirilkinas – In My World. Another ballad. Ruslanas is a very competent singer and this is sailing through.
Aistė Pilvelytė – You Bet. Veteran of the selections (this is her 10th time!) is back with her favorite composer Rafael Artesero. This is very intense and reminds me of Suus.
Evelyn Joyce and Deividas Žygas leave the competition while Aistė Pilvelytė wins the night.
