Seven songs achieved a score of 39 or higher, and five of them will be performed in semi-final 1. The biggest favourites after the heats seem to be Freddie and Petruska, who both scored 42 points in the heats. Other favourites include Kállay Saunders Band (41 points), Szilvia Agárdi (40 points), Benji, Gergő Oláh and André Vásáry (who all got 39 points). Freddie is the favourite to win the second semi-final,since all the major contenders are in the first semi-final.
Interesting to note is also that András Kállay Saunders will be competing against his girlfriend, Reni Tolvai. Judging on the heats, András has won this battle of the lovers, but you can’t underestimate Reni.
The final of A Dal 2016 will take place on 27th February. We’ll then see who will follow in Boggie’s footsteps.
