JUST in time for the final, we give you our final Söngvakeppnin interview, and in this interview we meet a dynamic duo who complement each other perfectly.
Erna Hrönn is taking part in Söngvakeppnin as a lead singer for the 6th time, and she has participated as a backing vocalist so many times that no one really knows exactly how many… Hjörtur on the other hand is making his Söngvakeppnin debut. He is however most certainly no stranger to televised music competitions; it’s only been two months since he won The Voice. Now he’s after another win; Söngvakeppnin!
During our interview I might have promised to cook them dinner if they would sing the English version of their song for us (this was the first time they did this…), and did they ever?! I guess they might even deserve dessert after this performance!

In the semifinal they performed the Icelandic version of their entry, “Hugur minn er”.
