Good morning Europe!
We’re all tuned in to Radio 2 here ready for this morning’s big announcement.
We’ll also be tweeting @escXtra our thoughts on the entries that will be competing on Friday to represent the UK this May in Stockholm.
Update: You can now hear all the six entries on the BBC Eurovision website here.
The six artists and their songs are:
Joe & Jake – “You’re Not Alone”
Joe & Jake are 20 and 21 and were on The Voice UK in 2015. They were rivals on the show but they made friends and are now performing together.
Nathan’s opinion:
I've got to say I really like "You're Not Alone". The key will be how this comes across live as its a mid-tempo pop song #bbceurovision

Nick’s opinion:
So Jake & Joe were on The Voice UK. The song is listenable, but also sounds like it took longer to perform than to write. #bbceurovision -NL

Bianca – “Shine a Little Light”
Bianca is 25 from Nottingham. “Shine a Little Light” is co-written by Leona Lewis, the former X Factor winner.
Nathan’s opinion:
"Shine a Little Light" is another decent mid-tempo song but with a soaring chorus, I'm a little worried about this live #bbceurovision – NW

Nick’s opinion:
A great voice (in studio), a bit of reggae and the clear Leona Lewis influence. I quite like this, yep! #bbceurovision -NL

Dulcima – “When You Go”
Dulcima are a band named after their violinist!
Nathan’s opinion:
I can't say I'm totally a fan of Dulcima's style of music but it's a toe tapper, that's for sure #bbceurovision – NW

Nick’s opinion:
When You Go: A musical highlight for me. He however is much better than she is. A true toe tapper, but get rid of her. #BBCEurovison -NL

Matthew James – “A Better Man”
Matthew Pateman was the lead singer of 1990s boy band, Bad Boys Inc. The song had some Swedish influence in its composition too.
Nathan’s opinion:
I'm definitely unsure on what "A Better Man" brings to the Eurovision table that would make us a winning nation again #bbceurovision – NW

Nick’s opinion:
Hi there, Matthew James. 2001 has called, it wants its song back. Dated in a bad way, random stops, lacks a punch. Meh. #bbceurovision -NL

Darline – “Until Tomorrow”
Darline are a young duo, Abby and Cára, aged 20 and 18. They’ve been supporting The Shires on their UK tour and “Until Tomorrow” is co-written by Martine McCutcheon’s husband.
Nathan’s opinion:
I'm not sure I can express my utter delight with "Until Tomorrow" in enough characters for Twitter. BRILLIANT tune. #bbceurovision – NW
— ESCXTRA.com (@escxtra) February 22, 2016
Nick’s opinion:
YES! Country music, two girls, guitars, this is absolutely brilliant. UK people, please, for the love of God, send this. #bbceurovision -NL

Karl – “Miracle”
“Miracle” is co-written between UK writers and a Swedish mixing producer.
Nathan’s opinion:
I can't say I'm totally enamoured with "Miracle". It's fairly bland and doesn't really have an end product, sadly. #bbceurovision – NW

Nick’s opinion:
This has Sweden (& therefore OGAE) written all over it. But I love it. It'd fit well in Denmark and yet I'm a fan. Good! #bbceurovision -NL
