Malta: Walk on Water is Ira's entry for Eurovision

Walk on Water is Malta’s song title in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Since Malta’s biggest star Ira Losco won the Maltese national final back in January, there was heavy speculation about her Eurovision entry. The national final selected Ira to represent the Mediterranean island which is still searching for a Eurovision victory.
The 2002 runner-up always stated that the rules permit a change in the song.  Infact few weeks ago, the Maltese national broadcaster PBS announced that a panel of judges composed of local and foreign experts listened to ten songs (including a revamped version of Chameleon). Walk on Water won that judicial process and the song was formally submitted to the EBU during the Head of Delegations meeting currently happening in Stockholm.
In the past days, the Maltese were teasing us with the #WOW tagline, an acronym that leads us to Walk on Water. Photos on facebook started to circulate with Ira shooting her video in the Malta National Aquarium and in the beautiful sister island of Gozo.
Walk on Water is set to be released this coming Thursday during the TVM main news bulletin at 20:00 CET.  Malta will compete in the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 10th May.
