The next artist to rehearse is Franka. We have just watched their first run through of Crazy live on screen for Croatia and here is our initial reaction.
Staging
We begin with a close shot of Franka, with dramatic flashing lighting used as the beat comes in. Already there is lots of smoke used creating a mysterious feel to the stage. Eurovision fans will immediately make comparisons to the last couple of Armenian entries, with Franka using lots of arm choreography and fast camera cuts for the “love love love” hook.
From the second verse, Franka moves around the stage and a wind machine launches into action. In general, the lighting is a mix of blue, red and black. There are tears falling down Franka’s face by the end of the song.
Vocals
Franka displays extremely strong vocals. Her confidence is such in that she goes for higher notes in the second pre-chorus and for the ending, which she achieves with ease.
Costumes
Franka is wearing a full-length and slim black dress, with a transparent and glittery frilly trail.
