Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.

In addition, for our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the Altice Arena by visiting our YouTube channel.

The latest artist to rehearse for the second time is ALEKSEEV for Belarus. We have just watched their latest run through of Forever live on screen and here is our initial reaction.

Staging

This is staged very much the same as the first rehearsal. ALEKSEEV has a rose which he gives to the camera, the camera hands it to a female dancer. Later on, the female dancer fires the rose at him with a bow (as if it was an arrow).

ALEKSEEV also has augmented reality roses fire from out of his chest to the camera before the final chorus, during which the platform rises up and then he turns his back to face the camera revealing a gruesome rose injury on it.

Camera shots in this performance: 25

Vocal

His vocal is as capable as ever!

Costume

A white dress shirt with a white scarf over black trousers. The dancer is dressed in a red floor length dress.

To qualify or not to qualify?

We have taken a flash poll from around the ESCXTRA table here in the press centre and 3 out of 6 of us say…

YES!

Watch the rehearsal!

Stay tuned for our reaction to Elina Nechayeva as they rehearse La forza next for Estonia.
