In 2007 Lidia applied to be Poland’s representative at Eurovision but did not succeed. However her chance at Eurovision came two years later. Therefore she sang her song “I Don’t Wanna Leave” at the contest in Moscow, Russia. She performed at the second semi final where it placed 12th. Therefore missed out on the final.
Eleftheria Eleftheriou, 27
Greece selected the Greek and Cyprus singer Eleftherina to be their act at Eurovision in 2012. Therefore her entry “Aphrodisiac” was performed in Baku. She advanced from the semi final 2 to the final. Where she placed 17th, however the tele voter liked the song more then the jury, because they placed her number nine.
In addition to this entry, she had two earlier attempts. One at the national selection for Cyprus in 2006 with the song “Play That Melody To Me”. Elettheriou’s second attempt was for Greece in 2010, but the song got disqualified since it was leaked earlier.
