An appetite to continue a televised National Selection
After two internal selections, France brought back the televised selection in the shape of “Destination Eurovision”. This was the first time that France has used a National Selection since 2014 when Twin Twin finished last in Copenhagen.
In an interview with lemonde.fr, French Head of Delegation Edoardo Grassi have mentioned the following:
“I think that going through a televised show helps to anchor the Eurovision brand in France. This allows us to show our motivation and talk about this contest for three months”
