German broadcaster NDR have opened the application process for people who want to be part of the nations 100 member Eurovision 2019 selection jury. This suggests Germany will again use the Unser Song format to select their Eurovision entry.
NDR have again partnered with Simon-Kucher & Partners to help determine a 100 member ‘Eurovision Jury’. The company’s expertise includes complex data modelling and app voting. Firstly the jury will help determine the participants of the televised national final. This jury will then vote again during the show alongside the international jury and the German public.
NDR have yet to confirm what the national final will be or it’s name but the repeat of the process introduced at the last national selection ‘Unser Lied für Lissabon’ suggests the show is set to return in the same format in 2019.
