With summer bringing the heat at full blast across Europe, Romanian group Mandinga makes a refreshing splash with their latest release “Arquitectura” and the accompanying music video.
Tu arquitectura ay dios mio que locura…
Arquitectura is a pop-dance song with a latin flare. In addition, it is sung entirely in Spanish. Needless to say, it ticks all the boxes of a hit and it’s bound to be heard at more than just a few parties this summer! The music video follows the ‘choreographed dancing at a gritty club’ trend, and lead singer Barbara Isasi truly brings the song to life.
Mandinga at Eurovision
Mandinga represented Romania in 2012 with the song “Zaleilah”. During the semi-final, their previous lead singer Elena Ionescu suffered technicial difficulties with her in-ear. However, they still managed to qualify. Despite being big fan favorites, Mandinga narrowly missed out on a top ten finish, ultimately placing 12th. Lastly, here’s a fun fact: Elena Gheorghe, Romania’s 2009 representative, used to be the lead singer of the group. Small world, huh?
