We have only one Eurovision birthday girl to celebrate today, but what a birthday girl it is!! She is both Norwegian and Swiss, but represented Norway. Her hair is possibly the most amazing thing to ever be seen on a Eurovision stage. And the song she performed is equally amazing. (Getting personal again…NOT sorry!) You have probably all guessed it by now; we are of course talking about Debrah Scarlett!
Debrah Scarlett, 25
Debrah Scarlett represented Norway at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. She did so as part of the duo Mørland and Debrah Scarlett, alongside Kjetil Mørland who also wrote the song. They performed their (very close to perfect) song “A Monster Like Me” in the second semi-final. There they finished in fourth place, thus sailing through to the grand final. On the Saturday night they received a total of 102 points (they deserved AT LEAST twice that!), thereby finishing in eighth place. Oh, and if you haven’t already; check out the official video!
Since her Eurovision participation, Debrah Scarlett has kept working on her music. Among other things she released the astonishingly beautiful song “Cynical Youth“.
Today Debrah turns 25, and all of us here at escXtra wish her a wonderful birthday!
