Sergej Ćetković, who represented Montenegro back in Eurovision 2014, has returned with a brand new single!
If I Forget You
The single, titled “Ako Te Zaboravim” (“If I Forget You”), was written and composed by himself. Watch the music video here:
As well as YouTube, the new single is also available to listen to via Spotify:
Letting go of a past lover
The lyrics suggest that Sergej is finding it difficult to overcome someone that he was once associated with. In addition, he sings about moving on in order for his pain to stop. However, this pain doesn’t seem to disappear, it in fact gets worse.
Read part of the verses and chorus below:
It’s been a year and you’re still not leaving
I see you in every shadow
Then I sew old wounds
And I look for someone so my pain stops
But it doesn’t go, it gets worse
If I forget you, if I love another
Forgive me, forgive me
If I forget you, if I ever get better
Forgive me, forgive me
If that happens
If it happens
If that happens
