On Saturday evening, the grand final of Festival da Cançao 2020 will take place. The winner will represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam.
We’re heading to Elvas
Over the past couple of weekends, RTP has hosted the two semi-finals of the festival in their Lisbon studios. However, the final will be hosted in Elvas, close to the Spanish border in the east of the country. The show will be hosted by Eurovision 2018 co-host Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim. Yesterday, RTP revealed the running order for the show which you can see below.

- Tomás Luzia – Mais real que o amor
- Elisa Rodrigues – Não voltes mais
- Throes + The Shine – Movimento
- Kady – Diz só

Portugal aiming for the final
The winner of Festival da Canção 2020 will succeed Conan Osíris as the Portuguese Eurovision representative after Conan headed to Tel Aviv with his experimental pop track “Telemóveis”. Unfortunately, after two consecutive appearances in the final, Portugal were unable to make it a third in 2019. Therefore, RTP will be hoping to make a swift return to the final in Rotterdam in May.
