Over the years, Jeangu has been a regular guest on DWDD. Next to performing his own music, he has paid tribute for Bob Dylan, George Michael and Paul Simon & Elton John among others.

Jeangu was internally selected to represent the host country in the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. He was announced as their representative already in January, but the song only got released yesterday.

The song โ€œGrowโ€ is written by Jeangu Macrooy and Perquisite. As the host country, The Netherlands has already guaranteed a spot in the final of the contest. However, we will see Jeanguโ€™s performance as part of the first semifinal on May 12th.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmรถ. I'm studying journalism and I love music โ€” you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
