‘YOU’ did not get the chance to be presented on stage in its real light’

During his interview with Aleksandra Jovanovska, Vasil has revealed that he was working with the same team who staged Tamara Todevska’s performance in 2019 (which saw North Macedonia achieve its best result to date)

“The only thing I feel most sorry about is that ‘YOU’ did not get the chance to be presented on the stage in its real light. Except for the fact that we had brilliant team from Sweden; Tine Matulessy and Mari Forsman Ryberger, the same ladies that took care of Tamara’s performance last year at the contest in Tel Aviv. I would have been joined on stage by four amazing backing singers with whom the ethnic vibe of ‘YOU’ would come to its fullest potential”

  • Barbara Popović – who represented North Macedonia in 2013 with the song ‘Ohrid i muzika
  • Aleksandra Janeva – who was a backing singer with Vasil in 2019 for Tamara Todevska’s Eurovision entry ‘Proud
