As more broadcasters start looking into what their participation will look like in 2021, some broadcasters have confirmed early on that their 2020 artist will get the chance to compete in 2021. Today, Czech Republic joins the list as it’s confirmed that Benny Cristo will represent them in 2021.
Song Selection to be confirmed at a later date
As with the rules of the contest, a new song will be selected for Benny, and this will be confirmed at a later date.
Benny won this year’s National Round, but unfortunately he didn’t get the opportunity to show up on the big Eurovision stage, so we decided to address him as a representative for next year.
However, we would like to let fans and viewers speak into what song he would represent in the upcoming year, because ‘Kemama’ must not be according to the rules. We will keep the audience informed in time and continuously.
Lucie Kapounová – Development Manager of Czech Television (Translated)
When this news was confirmed, Benny has expressed his excitement, towards the news that he will be representing Czech Republic.
I am very happy that Czech Television gave me a chance to show you what I have, even next year. I can promise all fans and viewers that I will use the time I have due to the world events, so you have something to look forward to.
