As Sweden’s Eurovision 2016 representative Frans prepares to release his debut album ‘Present’ on July 24. Eventually, he has treated us with the release of his new song ‘Monday’ which is the second single to be released in the lead up to the release of ‘Present’.
Seeing as it’s Monday when this is published, can I ask?. Have you ever had that feeling, where you have a lot of things to do that you say you were going to do during the weekend, but you end up saying:
‘I will deal with it on Monday‘
Well clearly this single is for you, and Frans wishes that you are able to relate to his new single somehow.
About ‘Monday’
Ahead of the release of ‘Monday’ Frans revealed more on what the track is about ahead of it’s release via Instagram, where he revealed more about the track:
Monday is simple. There are countless memes of, you know, Monday being this “uhh…I hate Mondays”. I see it as a restart button. For a new week, new opportunities. But then I realise that I postpone a lot of things. Monday is a metaphor for problems to my future self

Frans at the Eurovision Song Contest
In 2016, Frans was selected to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘If I Were Sorry’. The song was written by Frans along with Fredrik Andersson, Michael Saxell, and Oscar Fogelström.
During his participation at the 2016 contest, Frans managed to finish fifth overall, receiving 261 points from the professional juries and the televoters combined.
