As we are getting closer to finding out who will be participating at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Another year, has confirmed that they will not be participating at this year’s contest.
TRM, has confirmed to Eurofestivales, that it will not be present at this year’s competition in Warsaw. As their non-participation was confirmed, they have not explained the reason for their continued non-participation.
Junior Eurovision 2020 – what we know so far
Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The slogan for the show is ‘Move The World’. Following Viki Gabor’s victory on home soil in 2019, this will mark TVP’s second consecutive time hosting.
Note, unlike previous years, the show is due to be held in a TV studio, rather than an arena. The venue itself is yet to be confirmed, and will either be ATM Studio or Transcolor Studio.
To date, the following countries have confirmed participation in the contest:
Moldova at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Moldova debuted at Junior Eurovision back in 2010 when the contest was first held in Minsk. Stefan Roscovan was the first to fly Moldova’s flag at the contest with his entry “Ali Baba“. He eventually placed 8th with 54 points. They achieved their best result in Yerevan in 2011 with Lerika’s “No, no” coming 6th with 78 points. The country continued to participate every year until 2013, when it last participated. That year also saw Moldova’s worst result to date when they placed 11th out of 12 with 41 points.
