A spot in Eesti Laul 2021 guaranteed
As a result of the cancellation of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest the Estonian broadcaster ERR announced, that they are going to select their entry again via Eesti Laul and will not select Uku internally. However, Uku has a guaranteed spot in the show, when he submits an entry for the competition to be the Estonian representative in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam.
Uku shared on Instagram that the ‘Dream Team’ is working with him again after the success of his 2020 entry “What Love Is”. Dimitris Kontopoulos and Sharon Vaughn are behind the ‘Dream Team’. They are currently working with Uku and get ready for Eesti Laul 2021!
Uku participated twice before winning the competition this year. In 2017 his entry “Supernatural” sadly did not make it through the semi-finals. Moreover, in 2019 Uku placed second in the competition with his song “Pretty Little Liar”.
