🇫🇷 France’s Valentina releases Junior Eurovision 2020 entry “J’imagine”

Today, France released “J’imagine”, their entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 to be held in the Polish capital of Warsaw on November 29th. The song is performed by 11-year-old Valentina who rose to fame as part of the five-piece group Kids United Nouvelle Génération.

A young French superstar!

Valentina was announced as France’s representative at Junior Eurovision 2020 last week, posting this video on her Instagram channel to her impressive 300,000 followers!

“J’imagine” is the 11th song of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be released. Only Armenia and Georgia remain to revealed their entries. France’s entry was written by Antoine Barrau and Barbara Pravi. It is France’s fourth entry at the contest, following Thomas Pontier in 2004, Angélina in 2018 and Carla in 2019.

A passion for Italian

Aside from her success and two studio albums with Kids United Nouvelle Génération, junioreurovision.tv informs us that Valentina has a passion for French rap music. In addition, Valentina enjoys singing in Italian, an interest inherited from her mother who works as an Italian teacher. The young star names Laura Pausini as one of her favourite Italian artists with Ariana Grande being her musical idol.
