It had been in the air for a while. Young Belgian talents Loïc Nottet and Laura Tesoro showed an interest in getting together and recording a song. Those thoughts have now turned into actions. You can listen to the result of the duo on 6 November.
Rode Neuzen Dag
They sang together for the first time during this charity show. Red Nose Day is an initiative that gives thought to people and their mental health. In 2019 TV channel VTM and radio channel Qmusic organized “Red Nose Day XL”. Various artists have performed there, including Laura Tesoro and Loïc Nottet. The two ex Belgian Eurovision prouds covered “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi.
Both the artists and the Belgian public had a taste for more.
Reunited in 2020
One year later, in March 2020 right before lockdown got activated in Belgium, the two reunited. This time on RTBF, the Walloon tv broadcaster. And so the idea to record a song together one day was born.
In July 2020, Laura and Loïc performed at “Music Night” in Ostende, a series of weekly COVID-proof concerts.
