Yohanna joined the Eurovision family in 2009 when she represented her homeland in Moscow with the ballad “Is It True?”. She achieved second place, matching Iceland’s best result to date which had previously been achieved by Selma in 1999 with “All Out Of Luck”. Yohanna quickly became a fan favourite and returned to Söngvakeppnin, Iceland’s national selection, in 2011 with “Nótt” and in 2013 with “Þú” but did not win the tickets to Düsseldorf and Malmö respectively.
