Tamta’s take on an advert that touch many hearts
The three-minute animation, which was originally released earlier this month, looks at a relationship between a Lola (the Filipino word for Grandmother) and her granddaughter, as well as the story of how the grandmother got her Mickey Mouse toy, from her father in the 1940s.
When the advert was released to the public, it has received a positive reception. Especially within the Filipino community who are OFW’s (Overseas Filipino Workers), as well as having representation on the international stage.
Upon the release of her version of the track, Tamta mentioned how excited she was to be given the opportunity to sing the song
A song that if you observe its lyrics, you will understand its enormous importance. I am very excited that I was given the opportunity to sing it, and that in this way we can help children who really need it, fulfilling their wishes.
