Back in December, Anxhela won the 59th edition Festivali i Këngës with the song “Karma”. Following her win she confirmed that the song would be revamped for Eurovision, and released the new version in March. This week, she has released an acoustic version of her entry.
Anxhela Peristeri has become the latest Eurovision 2021 artist to release an acoustic version of their entry via the official Eurovision Song Contest entry. She had previously performed a stripped-back version of the original song on the second night of Festivali i Këngës back in December.

Anxhela’s Eurovision journey so far
Last year, Arilena Ara was set to represent Albania with “Fall from the Sky”, which would have been the country’s first English-language entry since 2017. Arilena was one of the artists not invited back by their broadcaster for the 2021.
Instead, Anxhela Peristeri will represent Albania with her entry “Karma”, which won the 59th edition of Festivali i Këngës. Like with Albania’s 2018 and 2019 entries, the song remained in Albanian after a subtle revamp from the original version.
Anxhela will be performing “Karma” in the second half of the second semi-final on May 20 in 11th position in the draw. Via her Instagram, she revealed that the entry will be staged by veteran Eurovision and Melodifestivalen staging director Sacha Jean-Baptiste.
