Montaigne has released her first song post-Eurovision! “My Life Is Better With You”, written for the podcast ‘My Brother, My Brother & Me’, has been in the works for months. A clip of the song was debuted back in March, when Montaigne appeared on the podcast as a guest.
The single “My Life Is Better With You” is Montaigne’s first single post-Eurovision, and was written as the theme for the popular advice podcast ‘My Brother, My Brother & Me’. It comes as the pandemic has forced Montaigne to reschedule some of her Australian tour dates.
The bio of the music video features an acknowledgment of the land the clip was filmed on, in a mark of respect to Australia’s indigenous population.

Montaigne’s Eurovision journey
Last year, Montaigne was selected as Australia’s representative after winning Eurovision: Australia Decides with her song, “Don’t Break Me”. After the contest was cancelled, SBS invited Montaigne back to compete at the 2021 contest in Rotterdam with “Technicolour”.
Australia were one of two countries to take part in the contest using their live-on-tape performance. Montaigne joined the first semi-final live from the SBS Studios, as opposed to the Green Room in Rotterdam’s Ahoy. Unfortunately, “Technicolour” didn’t advance to the Grand Final, placing 14th with 28 points. This was Australia’s first non-qualification since their 2015 debut.
