Mikolas Josef not participating in ESCZ 2022

We are now just days away from the beginning of the Czech national final for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Indeed, on Monday, December 6th, the seven artists and songs that will be competing for the Czech ticket to Turin will be revealed. In the last few days, ESCZ has been releasing a series of teasers via their social media channels and the latest of them rules out a certain heavily-rumoured artists making a return to ESCZ.

In the last couple of months, rumours had been rife that Mikolas Josef had submitted an entry to ESCZ and would likely be amongst the line-up for the final which will feature live-on-tape performances rather than music/lyric videos for the first time. Nevertheless, ESCZ has confirmed that the seven finalists have a combined Instagram follower total of 177,900. Mikolas himself has 223,000 which rules the 2018 Czech Republic representative out of a 2022 return.
