The first four acts take the stage for Melodifestivalen 2022 rehearsals

Melodifestivalen 2022 kicks off this Saturday

Today the rehearsals of the Melodifestivalen 2022 started at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. The first four artists – Malou Prytz, THEOZ, Shirley Clamp and Omar Rudberg – have already rehearsed.

First up on the stage was Malou Prytz, who is joined by four dancers and a drummer. She is backed by Melodifestivalen veteran Isa Tengblad, who will provide the backing vocals for Malou. Malou hopes to reach the final for the second time. In 2019, she qualified to the final with the song “I Do Me”.

The second artist on the stage was the teen idol THEOZ, who is competing with his entry “Som du vill”. As for Malou, THEOZ is also joined by four dancers. One of the songwriters of the song and former Melodifestivalen contestant Axel Schylström is among the backing vocalists for THEOZ.

Melodifestivalen legend Shirley Clamp is competing for the seventh time and this time she brings beautiful ballad “Let There Be Angels” to the contest. Shirley Clamp stays on the stage alone and impresses us with her beautiful vocals.

Young Royals star and two-time Melodifestivalen participant Omar Rudberg brings the party back with his song “Moving Like That”. Joined by two male dancers, the natural-born performer Omar performs with admirable confidence, even it’s just the rehearsal. The performance is very slick, but also fun and should appeal to all audiences. Omar smiles a lot through the performance and seems to enjoy his third ride at Melodifestivalen a lot.
