Festival da Canção 2022 final running order revealed

Pongo & Tristany will open and Pepperoni Passion will close the show.

The second semi-final of Festival da Canção 2022 took last night. Ten acts competed for the final five places at the Grand Final. A professional jury and the Portuguese public decided the remaining five finalists based on a 50/50 system. The first set of finalists were chosen last Saturday, and will join last night’s qualifiers on the Grand Final to take place on Saturday March 12th.

On Saturday night, Portugal’s entry for Eurovision 2022 will be determined by a 50/50 jury/televote split. The jury vote will comprise of the seven regional juries (Lisbon, North, Central, Alentejo, Algarve, Madeira and the Azores). Their points will be combined from those of the Portuguese public. The televote will take precedence in the event of a tie for first place, as was the case last year.

Today, RTP published the running order for Saturday’s show:

Costa Christou

Ever since I saw Helena Paparizou's triumph at Eurovision in 2005 (at the tender age of 6), I have been crazy about Eurovision. From the regional native language bops and shrieky female-led balladry to the sophisticated avant garde pop songs and chart-friendly EDM, I love everything about this cultural phenomenon. I'm currently working as a Delivery Manager in a software development team.
