On Saturday evening, Australian Eurovision stars, along with many Australian music greats will come together to perform at Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal. The event will be run as a telethon. All funds raised will help communities in Queensland and New South Wales affected by record-breaking floods in the past few weeks.
A night to remember
The list of participants at this event will be familiar to Australians, and fans of the Australian musical industry, but also Eurovision fans! Numerous artists in the cast list have represented Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest previously. Others have taken a shot at representing Australia in Eurovision: Australia Decides. Sheldon Riley won the most recent edition of the Australian national selection. He will represent Australia in Turin with the song “Not the Same”.
Eurovision representatives
Numerous Australian Eurovision representatives will take the stage at Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal. Some of these names include Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Kate Miller-Heidke. They all represented Australia at Eurovision in 2015, 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Dami Im, Australia’s 2016 representative and highest placing contestant to date, will also make an appearance. She will not be performing, as she is expecting her first child in May 2022, but will instead be taking donations from callers.
Australia decides participants
Some of the cast list might look familiar to Eurovision fans. Casey Donovan and Vanessa Amorosi, who competed at Eurovision: Australia Decides in 2020, and Sheppard, who competed in 2019.
Australian musical greats
Many other greats in the Australian music industry will also perform. These include Tones and I, Jimmy Barnes, Delta Goodrem and Missy Higgins.

Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal will take place at 7.30pm AEDT, Saturday, 12 March on Channel 7, Channel 9 and Channel 10.
