Rehearsal review

Stage presentation

This is a very interesting stage. Rosa-Linn is in a room surrounded by post-its, all white. She starts by sitting down and playing guitar. During significant moments in the song, she pulls away the post-its to reveal words or images. “Snap”, “June 22nd”, and an image of a heart. The lights are a mix between white and blue, but end in orange-gold towards the 2 minute mark.

When she finishes the bridge of the song, she pulls away the post-its, and walks through a hole to finally reach the stage. She is then standing in the middle of the circle, singing the last parts of the song.

Costumes and styling

She is wearing a beige suit that looks really lovely when she’s surrounded by the post-its.

Vocal quality

Vocally she is great, especially when she belts out the final notes after leaving the post-it room. Absolutely nothing to criticize here.

Overall impression

This is something we haven’t seen before in the contest, and it makes sense now that they put it to perform last. It is so engaging, it immediately captures your attention, and you can’t stop watching. Armenia really put a lot of effort into this and it should pay off. We were a little confused about why all parts of the song, you would put “June 22nd” on the wall, but regardless, it’s such a creative staging that it’s not a problem. She looks great, it’s vocally great too, so they really did everything they could.
