Malik Harris releases new single ‘you & i’

Who knew break-up songs could be so catchy?

Germany ‘s 2022 representative Malik Harris recently released his first single since performing at the Eurovision stage last month in Turin. ‘you & i’ might seem like a love song at first, but if you listen closely to the lyrics, it ‘s actually about a break-up. Malik sings about his tough decision to let go of his relationship, since time has changed too much between them, even though they used to have it all. While this all sounds pretty emotional and moody, Malik makes it sound like a feel good song. The musical part is upbeat and has a great summer vibe, and it ‘s clear that our Rockstar Malik tries to tell us that not all break-ups are sad and sometimes can be a good thing.

Malik Harris announced his single ‘s release on Twitter on June 3th. He encourages his fans to listen to ‘you & i ‘ on one of 9 different streaming devices (or maybe all of them?).

The song was composed by Malik himself, together with Marie Kobylka and Robin Karow. Malik previously worked with Karow on his Eurovision entry ‘Rockstars ‘, which placed 25th in the final after receiving 6 points.

I have been watching Eurovision since I was a young girl, but I've been actively involved in the contest since 2016. I am really passionate about it and it's basically all I talk about from January till June. My favorite genre is probably pop/rock, but I enjoy a good ballad every now and then. I have been visiting Eurovision in Concert for a long time and I've been to 2 editions of Eurovision so far!
