Junior Eurovision 2021 participant Sara James showcased her talents across the pond on America’s Got Talent, and with spectacular results!
A ‘Lovely’ performance
Tuesday’s episode of America’s Got Talent featured a familiar face for Junior Eurovision fans. Sara James, who represented Poland last year, tried her luck by auditioning for the show. Her song choice was Billie Eilish and Khalid’s ‘Lovely’, which wowed the judging panel. However, there was one judge in particular who was impressed by Sara’s cover: none other than Simon Cowell.
We’ve heard a lot of singers over the years, but wow, you have a real star glow about you.
Simon Cowell after Sara James’ audition
When she revealed it was her first time in the United States, Cowell stated that he wanted to make Sara’s dreams come true, and did so by pushing the Golden Buzzer.
The AGT judge resonated with her, which, along with her performance, lead to the decision of sending her straight to the live shows.
This is probably where you dreamt of performing. I can remember when I came to America for the first time – that was a moment I’ll never forget. And I want to make this a moment for you to remember forever.
Following the episode, Simon introduced his Golden Buzzer act on Twitter, with many replies approving of his choice.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Sara James spoke of her disbelief on everything that happened during her audition:
To be honest, I’m speechless. When I’m thinking of it, I’m literally shaking. I’m just so happy.
[Simon] made this whole trip to America so lovely — and America’s actually really beautiful, to be honest. I’m in love and I want to live there — but it was such an amazing moment and when I think of it, I just want to cry.
