Luna will represent The Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2022 

Luna will represent the Netherlands in Yerevan with the song “La Festa“. The 12-year-old singer came first in the votes of the children’s and adults’ juries as well as the public.

The live final of the Junior Songfestival took place on Saturday September 24, 2022 at the RTM stage in Rotterdam. The show was presented by Stefania, representative of Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020-2021 and also Matheu, representative of the Netherlands in 2018 in Poland.

3 groups and Luna took part in the Dutch national competition : Mixed Up – It Doesn’t Matter, HIGH5 – Because I Know and INFINITY – Never Ever

As usual, the winner of the Junior Songfestival was decided by the public, the adult jury and the children’s jury in thirds each.

On the adult jury were:

  • Chantal Janzen – Host of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, TV Host, Actress and Singer
  • Fleming – Singer and songwriter
  • Glen Faria – Singer

On the kid’s jury were:

  • Ayana – Represented the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2021 in Paris
  • Shine – Placed second in Junior Songfestival 2021
  • Priscilla – Placed fourth in Junior Songfestival 2021

The 14 finalists had the opportunity to sing together the group theme song of the edition, “Living In The Moment”.

Ayana, winner of last year’s edition of the Junior Songfestival and representative of the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2021, presented the trophy to Luna at the end of the show.

“La Festa” is composed by Robert Dorn and will be the 20th Dutch entry in the children’s contest. The Netherlands has participated continuously in Junior Eurovision since its first edition in 2003.
