Televote numbers confirmed for Benidorm Fest

After the excitement of Benidorm Fest 2023 and Blanca Paloma’s win, the official televote numbers have been released by the Spanish public broadcaster.

According to RTVE, the public vote results are as follows:

Blanca Paloma – 9,989 votes (28.28%)
Agoney – 9,515 votes (27.19%)
Vicco – 6,030 votes (17.23%)
Megara – 2,908 votes (8.31%)
Karmento – 2,371 votes (6.77%)
Fusa Nocta – 1,755 votes (5.01%)
Alice Wonder – 1,543 votes (4.41%)
Jose Otero – 977 votes (2.79%)

In the final voting, there were 34,997 votes received from televoting. 24,553 were from SMS texting and 10,444 from phone calls.

Last year Chanel recieved 3.97% of the public vote and still won. Tanxugueiras with “Terra” were the televote winners in Benidorm Fest 2022.
Chanel kept lead the over Tanxugueiras, despite the major difference in televote thanks to her jury win.

“SloMo” eventually went on to finish third in Turin for Eurovision 2022.”
The final results from last night were as follows:

  1. Blanca Paloma – “Eaea” – 169 points
  2. Agoney – “Quiero arder” – 145 points
  3. Vicco – “Nochentera” – 129 points
  4. Megara – “Arcadia” – 106 points
  5. Alice Wonder – “Yo quisiera” – 89 points
  6. Karmento – “Quiero y duelo” – 80 points
  7. José Otero – “Invierno en Marte” – 75 points
  8. Fusa Nocta – “Mi familia” – 71 points

The results were a mix of professional jury (50%), public voting (25%), and demoscopic jury (25%). The demoscopic jury was created with the demographics of Spain in mind.

Blanca Paloma will sing “Eaea” in Liverpool at Eurovision 2023 in the grand final on 13 May. Spain will vote in the second semifinal along with Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
