Ben Adams

Ben Adams rose to fame as part of the boyband A1 in the late 1990s, alongside among others Norwegian Christian Ingebrigtsen. The band split in 2002, but decided to make a comeback in 2009. One year later, in 2010 they almost got to represent Norway in Eurovision Song Contest on home soil, with “I Don’t Wanna Lose You Again”. In the final of Melodig Grand Prix 2010 they lost out to Didrik Solli-Tangen, who performed “My Heart is Yours”.

In 2022 he returned to MGP, this time as Keith, one of the yellow wolves of Subwoolfer. In the finale Keith and Jim (Gaute Ormåsen) won the Norwegian ticket to Turin, where they finished 10th in the Grand Final with their “Give That Wolf a Banana”.

Ben told Norwegian newspaper VG that he hasn’t quite decided how he will announce the votes yet. However, he assures the journalist that he will announce them in a humorous way, and his Subwoolfer mask will be part of it.

Subwoolfer’s semi 1 appearance

As the viewers could see, Subwoolfer appeared during the first semifinal of Eurovision 2023, parading past the newly crowned King Charles and Queen Camilla. However, Ben reveals that neither he nor Gaute were inside the costumes. He says that they knew about the stunt beforehand, but that either the EBU or BBC had asked NRK if they could borrow the masks and suits.
