The popular interactive dancing video game by Ubisoft has begun featuring songs from the Eurovision Song Contest. Just Dance 2023 Edition Season 2: Showdown with Eurovision Song Contest launched May 9.
After years of fan requests, Just Dance has added songs from Eurovision which will be available in part for free and on their paid service Just Dance+ in the video game played around the world. This is part of the games second season of 2023 titled “Showdown.” Most of the Eurovision content will disappear at the end of Season 2 on July 12.
On the day of the first semifinal in Liverpool, Ubisoft added four Eurovision-branded maps and “Slo Mo” by Chanel (Spain 2022) to the game, which can be played on Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Just Dance 2023 Season playlist “The Greatest Show!” has featured Chanel’s song since May 9 though the “Eurovision Song Contest” playlist won’t be available until June 15 and can only be accessed through Just Dance+.
The hit by Subwoolfer “Give That Wolf a Banana” (Norway 2022) was added on May 17, while on May 25 “Euphoria” by Loreen (Sweden 2012) was included as a surprise track. The next song to be added is “Trenulețul” by Advahov Brothers and Zdob și Zdub (Moldova 2022) and will be available on June 22, with all four songs being added to the Just Dance “Showdown” playlist on July 6 and remaining permanently on game.
The songs available to dance to in this playlist will be “Waterloo” by ABBA (Sweden 1974), “TOY” by Netta (Israel 2018), “UNO” by Little Big (Russia 2020), “Think About Things” by Daði Freyr (Iceland 2020), “Satellite” by Lena Meyer-Landrut (Germany 2010), “Flash (Just Dance Version)” by Bilal Hassani (France 2019) with Sulivan Gwed, Paola Locatelli and Sundy Jules and “MA ITU” (2019) by Stella Mwangi (Norway 2011).
