Whether you are planning to stay the night in Malmö or Copenhagen next May, don’t worry! EUROfansCLUB have confirmed not one, but two locations to celebrate Eurovision week across both sides of the Øresund. EUROfansCLUB Malmö will open May 6-11 and EUROfansCLUB Copenhagen will open May 7-11.
2 in 1 as EUROfansCLUB 2024 details announced
This week, the organisers of EUROfansCLUB 2024 announced that the popular after-party event is set to take over two cities next year, as Malmö gears up for the hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, following Loreen’s victory in Liverpool. During Eurovision week next May, fans can look forward to staying up all night long in EUROfansCLUB Malmö and EUROfansCLUB Copenhagen. Both venues will feature themed nights and guest performers from Eurovision past and present as fans celebrate Europe’s biggest music contest until 6am. Therefore, those with accommodation and travel for Copenhagen, don’t miss out on all the late night fun after the shows in Malmö Arena.
So, how did this come about? Following the conclusion of Liverpool’s successful hosting of Eurovision 2023, OGAE UK sent its members an annual post-Eurovision feedback form to complete. Within this form, it gave an opportunity for travelling Eurovision fans to provide details on their expenses, accommodation and what events (besides the contest itself), they attended during Eurovision week in Liverpool. As well as this, it included suggestions of what fans would like for the upcoming Malmö hosting and what travel plans people have already prepared. Several questions surrounding daytime and nighttime entertainment, allowed fans to select Copenhagen, as well as Malmö for the location. This survey was presented to OGAE Sweden and OGAE International to help with planning and management of fan experiences for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
EUROfansCLUB Malmö 2024
EUROfansCLUB in Malmö will take place in Etage. Regarded as the best nightclub in Malmö, it contains 4 floors that will each have their own DJ set list to show off your moves on the dancefloor – Eurovision, Swedish Schlager, Karaoke and Chill Out. Etage is located in the centre of Malmö, only 15mins from the arena by public transport. The venue will open from May 6 through to May 11 and will include 6 themed nights – Opening Night, Euro Justice, Wiwi Jam, Euro Queens Night, Petitvision and Celebration Night. As of yet, no guest performers have been announced. LED screens will also broadcast the live shows for those that miss out on tickets.
EUROfansCLUB Copenhagen 2024
EUROfansCLUB in Copenhagen is set to take place in Mirror. Located near to Copenhagen University and with public transport in walking distance, this is an ideal venue for those still young enough to party and have accommodation plans in Copenhagen. The venue will open from May 7 through to May 11 and will include 5 themed nights – Opening Night, Euro Justice, Euro Queens Night, Petitvision and Celebration Night. In the club are 3 floors that will play 100% Eurovision hits, with guest performers yet to be announced. LED screens will also broadcast the live shows for those that miss out on tickets.
For those of you brave enough to stay awake that long, both clubs will open until 6am. Weekly and daily passes for each venue can be purchased on the EUROfansCLUB website.
