Latvian Television (LTV) has just announced the lineup of songs vying for the spotlight in Supernova 2024, the national event selecting Latvia’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. The announcement was made on LTV’s morning program, Rīta Panorāma.
This year’s Supernova will showcase 15 diverse musical acts. Agnese Rakovska, who previously represented Latvia in 2017 with Triana Park, is among the notable entrants. The song list features a blend of languages, with most entries in English, “Na chystu vodu” in Ukrainian, and “kur?” in Latvian.

- Edvards Strazdiņš – “Rock n’ Roll Supernova”

- Jar of Kings – “Wildfire”
- Katrīna Gupalo – “The Cat’s Song”
- Papīra Lidmašīnas – “Mind Breaker”
- Patrīcija Spale – “Heaven’s Raining Down On Me”
- Saint Levića – “Tick Tock”
- Sasha Sil – “Love Is A Language”
- Vēstulēs – “kur?” (where?)
The competition will kick off with a semi-final on February 3, where 10 songs will progress to the final. The grand finale is set for February 10, with the winner being decided through a mix of public and jury votes. Supernova 2024 follows on the heels of Sudden Lights’ performance at Eurovision 2023, where they narrowly missed a spot in the Grand Final, placing 11th with the song “Aija”.
