As national final season kicks into overdrive this weekend, GPB the national broadcaster of Georgia has dropped the surprise news that Nutsa Buzaladze is representing Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 taking place in Malmö, Sweden this May!
From Idol to Eurovision, it’s Nutsa Buzaladze for Georgia
Nutsa Buzaladze from the Georgian capital, Tbilisi has been chosen as the latest representative for Georgia at Eurovision 2024. The international songstress who now resides in LA has been trying to represent her homeland for many years. Many Eurovision fans will remember that Nutsa participated in Georgia’s national final in 2017, finishing runner-up to Tako Gachechiladze with ‘White Horses Run’.
In recent years, Nutsa has honed her craft, resulting in her big international breakthrough on the 2023 season of American Idol. During which, Nutsa reached the top 12 and even performed a duet with Kylie Minogue! As well as this, she has already proven to be a seasoned veteran of music competitions with wins in New Wave and participations in Kënga Magjike, The Voice Türkiye, Georgia’s Got Talent, Dancing With The Stars and Your Face Sounds Familiar.
So far, no details on a song or release date are known. However, ideas for Nutsa’s Eurovision entry are already in the pipeline.
