After an exciting night, Iceland has chosen their winner of Söngvakeppnin 2024! Five songs competed in the national final, with Hera Björk being crowned the winner after two rounds of voting!
The full Söngvakeppnin results
In the first round, two entries were selected by the international jury and televote. These entries competed against each other in a superfinal. The result of this superfinal consisted of
public voting combined with the votes from the first round, although the full results from the first round were not revealed during the show. These were the songs that qualified for the second round:
- “Scared of Heights” – Hera Björk
- “Wild West” – Bashar Murad
After the second round of voting, Hera Björk was crowned as the winner of Söngvakeppnin 2024! This means that she will have the opportunity to represent Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest this year with her song “Scared of Heights”.
