Bambie Thug captivated audiences at Eurovision 2024 with “Doomsday Blue,” earning 278 points – the highest score for an Irish entry in the competition’s history. The song’s success extended beyond Eurovision, charting in the top 40 in Ireland, Lithuania, Greece, and Finland, and making it to the top 10 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50. “Doomsday Blue” also secured Bambie Thug their first UK chart entry at No. 67.
In addition to their headline tour, Bambie Thug is set to perform on the main stage at Download Festival. Reflecting on the busy schedule, Bambie Thug told NME, “I can’t wait. After Eurovision, I was like, ‘I’m going to be so bored’. Then I realized I only have a few weeks before Download, so it’s not going to stop. It feels even better because obviously I have bits in my music that are metal, but I cross a lot of genres.”
