Today, on their social media pages, the BBC has confirmed the participation of the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 taking place in Switzerland next May.
United Kingdom to be represented in Eurovision 2025
In a simple Facebook post, the press office of the BBC confirmed the news every British Eurofan has been waiting for. The United Kingdom will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 taking place in Switzerland next May. As yet, no further details have been made public. So, the wait goes on to find out who will follow in the footsteps of Olly Alexander and by what method they will be selected. Since 2020, the BBC has preferred to use an internal selection process.
Last year, former Years & Years singer, Olly Alexander represented the nation in Malmö, Sweden. Unfortunately, the ‘Dizzy’ singer only managed to place 18th in the Grand Final with 46 points. All 46 points were received by the voting jury members.
