BBC announces Sam Ryder’s manager David May to lead search for Eurovision 2025

Today, the BBC, the United Kingdom’s national broadcaster has provided an update on their artist and song search for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 taking place in Basel, Switzerland next May. Esteemed Music Manager, David will be working with Andrew Cartmell to lead the BBC artist and song search.

As the anticipation builds for the upcoming national final season, the BBC becomes the latest broadcaster to reveal more information on its plans for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2025. In a press release, the broadcaster confirmed that the search for the next UK representative has been underway throughout the Summer off-season. The act and their song will be announced before the March deadline.

Leading the search is David May alongside Andrew Cartmell, (Executive Producer BBC Studios North). Both will be working with UK record Labels, Publishers, Songwriters, BBC Music and BBC Introducing to secure an artist and song that will take to the Eurovision stage for the United Kingdom in Basel, Switzerland next May.

Of course, David May has 17-years of experience within the entertainment industry. David is a Music Manager and accomplished singer-songwriter with over 200 million streams for his work. Back in 2022 he managed Sam Ryder, who achieved the UK’s best result since 1998 with runner-up position in Turin for, ‘Space Man’.
